David Lane
President and Chief Executive Officer
David Lane is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Geode Capital Management. Mr. Lane is responsible for the overall management of Geode, including development and execution of the firm’s long-term strategic planning. Mr. Lane joined Geode in 2023 after a 30 year career at Fidelity Investments, most recently as Head of Global Equity Trading. He holds a B.A. in Finance from Merrimack College and a M.B.A. from Suffolk University.
Michael Ciccone
Chief Compliance Officer
Michael Ciccone is the Chief Compliance Officer at Geode. Mr. Ciccone is responsible for the development of the compliance program as well as the oversight and administration of the compliance functions for the firm. Mr. Ciccone joined Geode in 2011. He holds an M.B.A. from Suffolk University and a B.A. from Assumption College.
Sorin Codreanu, CFA, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Sorin Codreanu is the Chief Financial Officer at Geode. Mr. Codreanu is responsible for directing and overseeing all financial activities of the firm. Mr. Codreanu joined Geode in 2013. He holds an M.A. in International Economics from Suffolk University, an M.S. in Finance from Sawyer Business School, and a B.A. in Finance from West University in Romania. He is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant.
Elizabeth Downey
Head of Human Resources
Elizabeth Downey is the Head of Human Resources at Geode. Ms. Downey is responsible for establishing and overseeing all Human Resource functions along with managing a variety of corporate-wide administrative functions. Ms. Downey joined Geode in 2023. She holds a B.A. in Marketing from Assumption College.
Laura Doherty
Chief Operating Officer
Laura Doherty is the Chief Operating Officer at Geode. Ms. Doherty is responsible for oversight of the firm’s trade and ETF operations, human resources, stewardship, internal audit, information security and vendor risk management. Ms. Doherty joined Geode in 2024. She holds an M.BA. from Bentley University and B.S. in Finance from Babson College.
Matthew Nevins, Esq.
General Counsel
Matthew Nevins is the General Counsel at Geode. Mr. Nevins provides legal counsel and advice across all matters for Geode. Mr. Nevins joined Geode in 2015. He holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Connecticut. He is admitted to the state bar associations of Massachusetts and New York.
