Project Manager

Geode is seeking a Project Manager to provide project management leadership and client implementation support for strategic client initiatives.

This position will work closely with the Head of Trade & ETF Operations and the Head of Business Development, while partnering with business teams across the firm to drive successful outcomes.


  • Lead the day-to-day management of the firm’s strategic client projects and new account launch/onboarding events
  • Coordinate strategic projects varying in scope and duration from small, shorter-term business unit projects, to more complex multi-year, firm-wide initiatives
  • Document and present the results of project analysis and potential paths forward
  • Synthesize analysis and research into strategic insight and practical recommendations on best practices and procedures, including the evaluation of new products & services and business transformation
  • Prepare comprehensive analysis of new opportunities; this may include market analysis, internal capability assessment, competitor intelligence, customer research, and/or product evaluation
  • Drive project workstream results, by building and maintaining strong internal relationships with business unit peers and executives
  • Responsible for onboarding of new clients and accounts
  • Maintain a project calendar, project plans, and prepare status reports for presentation to management,
  • Keep projects on track, on time, and within scope of business objectives


  • Minimum of four years of work experience as a project manager in the investment management industry 
  • Experience with project and team management, especially strategy development and evaluation of new products and services
  • Strong organization, communication, and conflict management skills
  • Robust knowledge of security regulations rules and standard industry policies and procedures
  • Client on-boarding, implementation, and product development experience
  • Ability to lead and direct others to achieve measurable results; must be able to influence without authority
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a changing environment and under tight deadlines
  • Experience with process methodologies, such as Six Sigma is a plus
  • High attention to detail and must be well organized, proactive in approach, reliable, and timely
  • Prior experience with asset allocation programs and implementation helpful
  • Prior investment management and/or securities operations experience helpful
  • A core understanding of securities operations, security types, settlement conventions, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technology and its role in solving business problems
  • Sound business judgment when evaluating/applying technologies to solve business problems
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Microsoft Project and Visio
  • Bachelor’s degree; finance or business major preferred; CFA or advanced degree a plus
