Portfolio Strategist

The Merger Arbitrage Portfolio Strategist will work under the direction of the Lead PM on our Arbitrage Team.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate deals and perform in-depth research around deal flow
  
  
• help develop analytical tools and risk/performance reporting
  
  
• Work with the IT Group to bring the successful strategies and accompanying tools into production within the firm’s trading infrastructure.
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience with merger arbitrage strategy required
  
  
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills are prerequisite, as well as proficiency in building spreadsheet based tools in Excel
  
  
• Experience with statistical analysis software tools (such as Eviews, Splus, Matlab, etc.) would be a plus
  
  
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.  CFA preferred
  
  
• Mature, ethical, intellectually curious, diligent and detail oriented; collaborative, works well as part of a team and on individual assignments.
