Geode is seeking a Trade Operations Associate to add to our Operations team and support our growing firm. This individual will join a team of seven responsible for supporting all trade operations for Trading, Portfolio Management, Finance and Compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Trade settlement and cash management
- Position reconciliation
- Security reference data maintenance
- Corporate actions research
- Communication with custodians and prime brokers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and must possess a minimum of 3+ years experience in fund accounting or trade settlement
- Middle to senior level experience in portfolio accounting, including ETF’s, equities, fixed-income and derivatives
- Strong working experience with counterparty back-offices (brokers & custodians)
- Solid working knowledge of Excel, database queries, and database reports
- Familiarity with SQL, VBA
- Knowledge of, or the ability to analyze tax implications on complex portfolios
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work well within groups both large and small
- Responsible, disciplined, self-starter
